The chief executive officer of a suburban Dallas, Texas search engine optimization company now says she is "hopeful" her Internet marketing agency will be included in Inc. magazine’s 2014 list of the 500 fastest-growing private American companies, for the third time.
Coleman told attendees that Advice Interactive, located in McKinney, Texas, started with “one person and now has 40 employees” in the Dallas-area office. The company also has a Newport Beach, Calif., location.
The Inc. 500 | 5000 “lists the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the nation. The Inc. 500 are the top 500 companies on that list,” according to a FAQ on Inc.com. Advice Interactive is listed on the Inc. 500 Advertising and Marketing index for 2012 and 2013. The 2014 list has not been announced yet.
Coleman, who said she recently had knee surgery, stood during her energetic presentation: “Local SEO & Social Media – It’s Easier Than You Think.” She highlighted several trends such as “a diverse media mix must now include social and mobile marketing.”
She advised attendees to “have a mobile-optimized website” and to add city and state information in the Title and H1 tags.
